Who’s bullying my favorite cry baby?

Some bleakly twinkling newspaper column thinks whistle blower and bitter-melon general Angue should just shut up. That’s a harsh thing to someone who is mending a broken rank.

They’re suggesting Angue to run for an elective office, and jokes him of running for the upcoming barangay elections, before mingling with issues of politics (as if those with a government seat know politics).

And guess what? His only veneration, according to this column, is to just obey his superiors and point his nose to Zamboanga and not to some evil accusations toward his commanders. Generals are saints, they can’t do wrong, and their voice will leads us to salvation according to chapter 6, verse 9 of The Book of Saint Palparan.

For a column still dreamy that the military is a neutral and apolitical body? Here’s a slap to wake you up! Pak. Pak. Pak. Paaaak.

Fine. Let us just take Angue as a jealous dog. (Well, he thought he was also a favorite). But then again, in times when we are so fuzzed about change and yellow ribbons, will we be just doubtful to a cry baby? Then undoubtful of everything his officers say?

So, let us not act surprised if after all this derailments on the probes on how Gloria Arroyo was seated president with the help of our “apolitical” generals will lead to somewhere near to nothingness. Let’s not act surprised if the Truth Commission will be moving so slow, or not moving at all. And let the military hide everything in their closets.

P.S.

BAD NEWS: Angue wants to act as Pontius Pilate now that Arroyo is but a congresswoman. But, nah-ah-ah, President Noynoy Aquino III already got the role for the Hacienda Luisita scene. (see previous post)

Thanks, Aika. I assure you, no offense against the women intended. (No to violence against women!) Let’s blame the constraints of Google image and my laxity.
